Gordon MacPhail is an independant bottler who prides themselves as an expert on the process of cask maturation since 1895.
Gordon & MacPhail's Sherry casks are made in Jerez, Spain, to exacting specifications and seasoned before being shipped to Scotland. Meanwhile, their local partners, Speyside Cooperage, help them source the highest quality ex-bourbon casks from North America.
For more than a century, Gordon & MacPhail has been entrusted with new-make spirit from more than 100 Scottish distilleries to mature in their way, using casks made to their exacting specifications.
The 'Distillery Labels' range is a celebration of these long standing and unique relationships.
The history of this range heralds back to our very beginnings - to the days when distillery spirit was produced primarily to be used in blends. Because of the strong working relationships they had with distillery owners, they would bottle and sell the spirit they created as single malt on the condition that it is used as their 'house' label with the caption "bottled by Gordon & MacPhail".
These relationships have culminated in today's 'Distillery Labels' - a showcase of historical label design.
This Speysider was distilled over at Strathisla in 2006, and left to age until 2019. This single malt is bottled at 43% ABV as part of its fabulously retro Distillery Labels series.

Ardnamurchan is utilising a new platform that makes use of blockchain technology to provide a secure and immutable model of their full supply chain that describes the manufacturing process and origin of their whisky.
It allows them to prove authenticity and provenance, and also to operate a fully transparent, and all-encompassing manufacture and stock system from field to bottle.
Marvellously well-balanced single malt Scotch whisky from Ardnamurchan, made with 50% peated and 50% unpeated malt at its heart. This expression (which has the catchy name AD/10.21:06) was aged in a combination of 65% bourbon casks and 35% sherry casks, further helping the balance with notes of creamy vanilla, oaky spice, and warming dried fruit.

Tobermory distillery is situated on the Scottish island of Mull, in the village of Tobermory. The distillery, formerly known as Ledaig, is the only distillery on the island. It was founded in 1798 by John Sinclair, has changed hands several times and undergone a number of closure periods. These days the brand name ‘Ledaig’ is used for all their lightly peated malt Whisky, whereas the unpeated Whisky is sold as Tobermory. While most of the distilleries in the Island region mature their Whiskies on the islands themselves, Ledaig matures them on the Mainland.
Distilled using the same pot stills as the classic unpeated Tobermory expression, just with peated barley instead, the whisky boasts plumes of rich, earthy, almost medicinal smoke, with underlying fresh fruit and crushed spice notes.
The Ledaig 10 YO is distilled from peat dried Barley and has the strength of around 30-40 PPM. It is aged for 10 years in Oak Wood casks.
