Country Scotland
Distillery Glenmorangie
ABV % 40
Aged NAS
NOTES:

Lessons in the Dram

Glenmorangie is famed for long fermentation and distillation in the tallest stills in Scotland. At more than 16 feet tall, the stills – as tall as giraffes – allow long interaction between the vapour and copper.

The distillery also has its own water source, the Tarlogie Springs. The hard, mineral-rich water is key to the defining light and floral characteristics of Glenmorangie.

Description

In pursuit of new flavour possibilities, Glenmorangie has created a single malt made for mixing. Crafted with top bartenders, X by Glenmorangie’s sweeter, richer taste is perfect paired with a favourite mixer.

Glenmorangie’s whisky creators have drawn on their exceptional array of casks to create the whisky’s luscious flavours of pear, vanilla, orange and fudge. Ideal for tall, simple serves, X by Glenmorangie promises to refresh the way we enjoy single malt.

company.

Linkwood 12 Year Old 2008 - Archives

Type Scotch
Style Single Malt
Region Speyside
Country Scotland
Distillery Linkwood
ABV % 56.3
Aged 13
NOTES:
RM669.00

Lessons In The Dram

Linkwood has a small selection of original bottlings. Currently Linkwood 12 from Flora & Fauna range of Diageo is on the market. Old original bottles had 'finished' Whiskies with Rum and wine casks. Most of the produced Whisky is used in Diageo's famous blends like Johnnie Walker and White Horse.

Description

When mature, however, although Linkwood's freshness is retained the palate reveals a thick texture which slows the whisky down in the mouth.

It is this combination of texture and delicacy which makes it prized by blenders – and much loved by malt whisky aficionados.

The fragrance is achieved by creating very clear wort, having a very long fermentation and distilling (slowly to maximise copper conversation) in pairs of stills in which the spirit is larger than the wash, allowing even more copper contact.

This whisky is a single cask bottling at 56.3% ABV with a limited release of 225 bottles.
